  • 1/3 cup almond meal*
  • 1 capsule vitamin E (break open into dry ingredients)
1/3 cup cornstarch

Directions:

When you are ready to add it to your bath, scoop the desired amount of the mixture and tie securely in a muslin bag or even a facecloth will do. Tie to the faucet allowing the warm water to run over the bag.

To make almond meal:
Using a blender, grind up blanched or slivered almonds to a powdered consistency.

Sea Salt Body Scrub

1/2 oz. Beeswax
8 oz. Sweet almond oil
3-1/2 lb. Finely ground sea salts
1 Tbs. each lavender, rosemary and peppermint essential oils, or your own combination of scents.

Melt the beeswax in the sweet almond oil, then allow it to cool.

If starting with coarse sea salt, grind it to the consistency of table salt. Then add the cooled beeswax/oil mixture and the essential oils.

Don't use it on facial, broken or sensitive skin. This scrub
exfoliates, invigorates, and leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth

Sweet Dreams Bath Salts

2 cups kosher salt
2 cups baking soda
5 drops lavender scented oil
handful of lavender buds
*4 tablespoons of liquid glycerin

Combine all of the above ingredients and stir well. The liquid in this recipe might contribute to clumps forming, so simply break apart with the help of a fork.

**************************************************************

Simple Sugar Scrub

50 percent white cane sugar
50 percent avocado oil to moisten the sugar
small amounts of aloe vera gel
1 or two drops of essential oil, adjust to your preference

Combine the ingredients in a bowl. Scoop some of the scrub onto your hand and massage gently onto your skin for a minute (the scrub will actually tighten onto your skin like a masque). Leave on for 3 to 4 minutes before rinsing.

Body Butter

Makes a 1 lb. batch
10 oz. Shea Butter
6 oz. Oils (you can use all one, or use different oils equal to 6 oz. soy, sweet almond, grapeseed, or  avocado)
2 tsp. Corn Starch (optional)
.1/2 oz. fragrance oil (more or less to your preference)

In a large pyrex measuring bowl, melt your shea butter in a pan of water (double boiler method) on the stove.  Once melted, add your oils, fragrance oil and corn starch.  Stir very well.

Remove the pyrex bowl and set it inside of a large metal bowl filled with ice water for a cold water bath.  This will help cool the butter faster and is much easier than having to keep putting it in the freezer in between whipping.

Using a hand mixer, whip the butter continually for several minutes just like you would frosting.  It will begin to cool and as you keep mixing, it will start to look like whipped cream.  Once the butter has solidified and has the right whipped texture (it will have peaks on top just like cool whip!), spoon it into your jars and you are finished!
