This is the
time to shake things up a bit. There are some beauty tips for
women over 40 that will update their look. And help with some of
the signs of aging. This is the age that has not made to old but
isn't young anymore either. Somethings can be done to reduce the
appearance of fine lines around the eyes and dullness in the
hair and skin.You may
have all of this happening at once or maybe just one. You may be
one of the lucky ones where there are outward signs that you are
getting older. No matter what stage you are in here are
somethings we should all do. Tackle the clothes. Do they really
fit properly? Same review with bras. Update your clothing to
this decade unless it is a classic piece. The colors should veer
toward neutral. We don't want boring so with color only one item
you are wearing should be bright.
Take a long look in the mirror.
Think about the woman you are now, today. There is nothing so
beautiful as a woman of this age who knows who she is and is
accepting and comfortable with it. Think of what you have
accomplished and overcome. Ask yourself do the clothes, make up,
hair and presence match?
Too often we just do what we
can to be presentable, not beautiful. Excuses of incessant
business and not having time for self bounce around in our
heads. If these things don't match take one issue and decide how
to tackle it. The easiest way is to get a total makeover, but
this is only good if you plan to stick to all the changes.
If your skin is dry and dull
you should exfoliate just once a week. This will remove built up
dead skin cells that are dulling the skin. The rest of the time
treat it gently. Wash in warm water. Pat skin dry and no
scrubbing. Put moisturizer on skin immediately to lock in
moisture. Drink the often recommended eight glasses of water a
day.
Exercise is possibly the
biggest gift you can give yourself. It will help bring back your
glow. It helps keep some things from making a fast trip south.
With weight training you can slow down, halt or even reverse the
descent. Go for 30 minutes a day for three days a week. Do the
strength training twice a week.
An up to date hairstyle is
necessary to look your best. If you are still wearing a style
you did 15 years ago, it is no longer appropriate. Honest
friends will tell you. Go for a shoulder length style or
shorter. As color fades with time think about adding some
highlights.
Make up should be light. The
heavier make up tends to settle into those fine lines and make
them more pronounced. Depending on you skin a tinted moisturizer
may be all you need. Use cream blush instead of powder that will
again settle into those lines. For lips keep the moist and soft
will lip balm. This will also help lipstick to go on smoother.
As far as colors, go for those that subtly enhance your beauty.
You are a bold and beautiful woman the bolder colors are no
longer necessary.

unavoidable, though, the way we take care of ourselves can help
us age gracefully. Hair removal, exercise,
haircut, skin care and a trip to the
beauty salon can all help this process.
