We do offer fundraisers for groups,
clubs, sports teams, 4-H, etc. Currently, we only offer to
those within driving distance of Skagit County Washington.
If the group were outside of Skagit County, we would meet
the group’s point of contact person at a destination halfway
between us for delivery of product.
The organization will receive between
35-40% (depending on the product) of the total sales.
We would feature 10 different
fragrances, the group’s organizer and Joyful Designs in Soy
can together figure out which 10 to carry, also with
consideration of the season of year being a factor. We pour a
sample “sniffie” of each of those 10 fragrances for each
participant to have as a sales aid, provided free to the
group. We’ve found when potential customers can actually
smell the scent, sales are better. We also provide sales
receipts, a brochure to show customers, and master
spreadsheets for easy tallying of total orders.
Participants take orders and collect funds from customers.
The funds are due to Joyful Designs in Soy at the time of
delivery. Our goal is to make this process as simple, and
straight forward as possible for both the organization, and
us.
It is customary to allow 2-4 weeks for
selling time for the group. After this sales time ends,
please allow 4-5 weeks delivery. Our goal is to deliver
much sooner than this, but this is the outside time frame we
need, as the amount of candles needing to be poured, can
vary widely. Also, we can only book a certain number of
fundraisers throughout the year, so please contact us for
availability. For a holiday fundraiser for instance, be
sure to allow enough time for delivery and sales
timeframe.
We make a custom label for the group at
no extra charge. It features our standard information, as
well as a “thank you for supporting your local club.” Of
course, that will say the group’s name or project for which
the funds are being raised.
Joyful Designs in Soy will also bag
each order so the group won’t have to do this. We do this
through good communication with the group’s point of contact
person. Once the candles have been delivered to the
organization, all they need to do is pass the candles (by
bagged order), to each participant for their sales. Those
participants then deliver to each customer. It is our goal
to minimize the work the organization has to do.
If you have further questions, or are

Testimonial about Joyful Designs in
Soy
By: Tammy Edwards and Josh King
Teachers at Chrysalis School
This year was our first experience performing fundraisers
for our school's
yearbook. We were introduced to Joyful Designs in Soy and
Valerie through a former co-worker. After the initial
uncertainty whether selling candles would be beneficial to
our fundraising efforts, we called Valerie with a lot of
questions. She was very patient with our concerns. She
answered all of our questions and offered us the best deal
we have had so far in raising money.
After the students chose the scents, Valerie took time to
look over the list and offer us some alterative choices so
that we might reach a wider
audience. Her selections, based on the season when we were
selling candles, helped increased our sales.
The package we received from Valerie was amazingly well
organized. She had individual zip-lock bags with the 10
scents clearly labeled. The packets she made for each
student included a tri-fold brochure explaining the candles,
what was being sold, short statement about the purpose of
the fundraiser, plenty of order forms, and a master order
form list so students could keep track of what they sold and
how much money they raised.
Valerie was very helpful every step of the way during the
fundraiser. She was in contact with us every week, by e-mail
or phone calls. She was even willing to extend the sale by
letting the students turn in orders during the final
fundraising week.
Valerie's organizational skills were evident when she
brought the candles to us. She had each order in a bag with
both the student's name and the purchaser. She even threw in
tea lights for each order to provide a more fulfilling
experience in the world of scented soy candles. As a
finishing touch, Valerie made special labels for each candle
thanking the customer for supporting our yearbook
fundraising efforts, at no extra charge! Our school was able
to sell 92 candles. This fundraiser came in second in terms
of the amount of money raised for the yearbook.
We are looking forward to using Joyful Designs in Soy
fundraisers twice next school year. We would recommend this
talented woman to any school for fundraising efforts.
Sincerely,
Tammy Edwards and Josh King
