Home Shows and Parties

Hosting a candle party is a great way to get together with your friends, earn some free candles for yourself, and most of all have fun.  We take a different approach to our parties, more relaxed, more of an open house style.  We don’t think candles need a sales pitch, people either love them or they don’t, so we won’t put your friends and family through a sales pitch or activities/games.  Generally we’ll set up, and have a 2-3 hour window that your guests can drop by anytime they want to look at and “play” with the candles.  They can either purchase the candles we bring (no waiting), or place orders if they want something we didn’t bring.  There will be no pressure to purchase anything, book parties, or become sales reps.  We really want this to be a fun and relaxed thing for the hostess and friends.

We do require a 3-person minimum to hold a party.  Here’s how it works for the hostess:  with 3-5 people attending, you’ll receive a free 8 oz jelly jar candle of your choice and a pack of tea lights.  With 6 or more people attending, you’ll receive a 12 oz oval hexagon candle of your choice and a pack of tea lights.  In addition, you’ll receive 15% of your party’s sales (before taxes) in free products of your choice.  Another option is leaving your party open for 2 weeks after your show with some order forms and sniffies (scent samples) for people who couldn’t come but perhaps wanted to purchase candles (would count towards your total).  The good thing about doing this after your show is that you've already had the chance to see the different products and try the scents.  If you have family and friends that live out of town, you could also send them to our website and if they order, their sales would count towards your show totals.

If you live in Western Washington state, but not in Skagit County and are interested in holding a show, just ask.  It will depend on our availability, etc. but we're open to discussing it.

Book Parties or Online Parties

Book Parties work the same as above except people do not come to your house, and we don’t bring candles to your house to set up.  We would give you a few brochures, some sniffies, and order forms.  You would show your family and friends (our website should help you out too), and if they wanted to purchase candles you take their orders.   For a book party as a hostess you’ll receive a free 8 oz jelly jar candle of your choice, and 15% of the pre-tax sales in free products of your choice.  You can also invite friends and family from out of the area to the website and if they purchase, as long as they tell us, their sales would also count towards your book party.  A wonderful way to earn free candles for yourself.

An online party works exactly as above, except you'll receive a party ID#, and you'll send email invitations to people you know (we will provide those) directing them to our website.  Any orders they purchase, they'll give us your party ID#, and you'll receive the same benefits as above.
 

Scent Help

We realize our scent list a huge and sometimes making a decision can be difficult, if you ever need suggestions, please email us and let us know what types of scents you tend to be drawn towards/looking at, and we can email you a few suggestions of scents in those categories.
 

Soy Candles as Gifts

Consider purchasing a few extra to keep on hand for upcoming gift giving needs.  It's a very convenient way to have something ready when the need arises. We also offer gift certificates (see 'Special' box in the left column at 'Make an Order').  We also can make a custom label for your gift with a personalized message from you, and have the candle shipped to their address if you prefer.  Let us know.
