eBay Modules on Squidoo Help Sellers Initiate Bidding Wars

Being an eBay seller isn't exactly the road to riches that many would have you believe. While it IS possible to make a great living on eBay, you won't be making significantly more than your competition unless you do some things differently..

Here's the biggie: You need to be able to generate your own traffic.

What if you were an eBay seller selling unicycles. Someone searches eBay for a unicycle, finds you AND your direct competition, and selects an auction based on.. price? pretty pictures? a good title? You are completely at the mercy of the EBay Machine.

So what if you were able to generate your OWN traffic?

Here is how it may work:

Someone searches Google for what you happen to be selling... and they find dozens and dozens of pages linking to your auctions! People will stumble upon links to your website and eBay store, and will be shown YOUR auctions.. minus the competition.

One of the best ways to get more visitors to your auctions (and get more bids!) is by building a Squidoo Lens.

Squidoo is a website that allows people with little or no technical knowledge to build a webpage about whatever they like. Squidoo calls these webpages 'lenses'. And here is the eBay seller's secret... Squidoo has a special tool called an 'eBay module' which shows all of your auctions on your squidoo webpage.

Squidoo pages rank very well in search engine results, so you are likely to get more visitors to your eBay store through Google and yahoo, just by having a squidoo page. And more visitors to your eBay store and to your auctions will always mean more sales!

Here are some things to remember to include in your Squidoo Lens:

1. An bit about who you are. A reliable and honest eBay seller with a good reputation.

2. A selection of eBay modules showing off your auctions. The settings for this module might be confusing at first, but keep trying because mastering it is very profitable.

3. A link to your eBay store. People will click, so show them the link!

4. Two or there articles about the type of items you sell. This is possibly the most important of th 4 things. For search engines like Google to list you high up in the search results you need to show that you are providing valuable content. If you are selling unicycles on eBay, then write some articles about unicycles. How to spot a good unicycle. How to learn to ride a unicycle. How to choose the right size unicycle. That kind of thing. Then when someone searches Google for unicycle-related information, they can find your Squidoo lens and eBay store.

This will work for any product and any topic. If you can't or don't want to write these yourself, you can always hire someone else to do it for you. But make sure you include these in your new Squidoo Lens.

You can make as many Squidoo Lenses as you like, about almost anything you like, and send all those visitors to your eBay listings for free.

So now you know how to initiate as many bidding wars on your listings as you like! Just put Squidoo and the eBay module to work for you...
